It is Friday, and on Fridays I notice we usually begin to regret our evolution, having ever left the water. Civilisation can be a bit of a faff, and we are quick to relapse back to monkey state, and further to cruder animals, in desperate attempt to finally return to our slippery sea forms. Above is a gaping-mouthed fish in sterling silver. He is hollow and echoes slightly. Available for purchase HERE. Or visit the fish gallery HERE if you need more inspiration to regress.
Above is The Ancient Creature, sculpted out of black cheese-wax by John Porro. The Ancient Creature represents Man’s origins as The Mudskipper remembers him. Mudskippers are small fish who have evolved a little bit – just enough to flop around out of the water – but no further.
